Federal ministers Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and Talal Chaudhry condemned remarks made by Noreen Niazi, calling them regrettable and confirming that legal action had begun, the private media outlet reported on Sunday.
Speaking to reporters, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos marked a historic success. He alleged that the PTI founder and his family often make statements against Pakistan and claimed that Noreen Niazi’s remarks were against the country’s integrity, dignity and national interest.
He also said the US president had repeatedly acknowledged Pakistan’s victory and expressed regret over Noreen Niazi’s statement.
Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry also condemned the remarks, calling them highly regrettable. He alleged that the PTI founder and his family were trying to damage Pakistan’s interests.
Talal claimed Pakistan had secured victory despite what he described as an India-Israel nexus. He further alleged that Noreen Niazi’s statement reflected the agenda of anti-Pakistan elements.
The minister also accused the PTI of trying to push the country towards default and harming the economy. He claimed the party had written letters to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in an attempt to affect Pakistan’s financial stability.
Talal Chaudhry said the government would take action against anyone trying to destabilise the country and confirmed that legal proceedings had already started over Noreen Niazi’s remarks.

Earlier, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) had issued a notice to Imran Khan’s sister, Noreen Niazi, over negative remarks against the Pakistan Armed Forces and praise for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In this case, Noreen Niazi has been asked to explain her controversial statement. She has also been directed to appear before the relevant authorities on the scheduled date for further investigation into the matter.
