The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has issued a notice to Imran Khan’s sister, Noreen Niazi, over negative remarks against the Pakistan Armed Forces and praise for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In this case, Noreen Niazi has been asked to explain her controversial statement. She has also been directed to appear before the relevant authorities on the scheduled date for further investigation into the matter.
The authority has directed her to appear personally before the investigator at the NCCIA to record her statement. Furthermore, the notice states that failure to comply may be construed as an indication that she has no defence to present regarding the matter.
It is worth mentioning that Noreen Niazi’s remarks regarding the Indo-Pak war have drawn strong reactions from various quarters. She has faced criticism from political and social circles over her controversial statement.
On the other hand, reacting to Imran Khan’s sister Noreen Niazi’s statement on the Indo-Pak war, Punjab Information and Broadcasting Minister Uzma Bukhari said that Noreen Niazi’s remarks reflect the mindset of her brother, Imran Khan.
In her statement, Uzma Bukhari said that this family is upset by every achievement of Pakistan. She added that the whole world has acknowledged that Pakistan gave India a decisive defeat in the ‘Marka-e-Haq’ and that Noreen Niazi’s alleged support for “fascist Modi” is shameful and condemnable.
The provincial information minister further said that Imran Khan and his sisters are either among the most intelligent people in the world or represent the most extreme examples of irrational thinking.
