Two maids arrested for alleged Rs7.5 million theft in Karachi

Two sisters who worked as domestic maids have been arrested for allegedly stealing Rs7.5 million from a house in Karachi’s Jat Line area, according to media reports.

Police said that the women got jobs as maids to gain the trust of families and then steal from their homes. The sisters have been identified as Nosheen and Noor Fatima.

According to investigators, they took prize bonds worth Rs7.5 million and Rs80,000 in cash from the house.

According to media reports, the police said Nosheen started working at the house a few months ago. After the family trusted her, she allegedly carried out the theft. CCTV cameras also captured the sisters leaving the area after the incident.

According to the reports, Nosheen has been involved in similar theft cases before. They added that FIRs had already been registered against her at Brigade and Saddar police stations.

Zartaj Gul’s husband’s car stolen

The car of Akhund Humayun Raza, the husband of politician Zartaj Gul, was stolen in Dera Ghazi Khan, according to reports today. Police have started an investigation into the incident.

According to reports, the car was parked outside Raat Rani Bazaar when unknown people allegedly stole it. The area comes under the B Division Police Station.

Previously, a young doctor named Akash was shot dead during a robbery outside a bank in Karachi.

Police said Dr Akash was caught in an exchange of gunfire between suspected robbers and a bank security guard near Teen Talwar.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) South Mahzoor Ali, Dr Akash had withdrawn cash from a bank. He was travelling with his father and cousin to another bank. Their vehicle stopped outside the bank when armed suspects came from behind.

Police said the bank’s security guard thought the suspects were trying to rob the family and opened fire. The suspects then returned fire, and Dr Akash was hit during the shooting.
