Zartaj Gul’s husband’s car stolen outside market in Dera Ghazi Khan

Politician Zartaj Gul’s husband, Akhund Humayun’s car was stolen outside the market in Dera Ghazi Khan, prompting local police to begin an investigation into the incident.

Zartaj Gul, a prominent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf politician. husband, Akhund Humayun Raza is also known for his political and social activities in Dera Ghazi Khan.

According to reports, the car was parked outside Raat Rani Bazaar when unidentified individuals allegedly took it away. The location falls within the jurisdiction of the B-Division Police Station in Dera Ghazi Khan. Several reports described the incident as a vehicle theft from outside the family’s residence, while others identified Raat Rani Bazaar as the precise location where the vehicle had been parked.

Police reportedly started examining the available evidence by collecting CCTV footage from the surrounding areas of the incident. Police teams have also begun collecting information from nearby businesses, residents and possible witnesses.

Zartaj Gul Wazir is a prominent Pakistani politician known for her work in climate change and public service. She served as Minister of State for Climate Change in the cabinet of former Prime Minister Imran Khan from October 2018 to April 2022. She has been an active member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf since her political career began and represented women in the National Assembly of Pakistan. 

On the other hand, previously, such theft cases have also been reported in Islamabad. The CCTV cameras that were installed to help monitor criminal activity in Islamabad have been victims of theft themselves, raising serious concerns.

An incident took place previously at Faizabad Metro Station where an installed facial recognition camera went missing under unexplained circumstances. A complaint regarding the stolen camera was filed at the Industrial Area Police Station on the complaint of a Safe City coordinator.
