ISLAMABAD: Shalimar Recording & Broadcasting Company Limited (SRBC), which runs the state-controlled ATV channel, has announced that all staff members are being relieved of their duties as part of court-ordered liquidation.
The move follows directives issued by the Islamabad High Court.
According to an office order dated 24 November 2025, every category of employee will be released by 30 November.
The decision impacts regular, contractual, deputed, temporary and daily-wage workers, as well as broadcast resource persons and staff holding additional or officiating roles.
All outgoing employees have been told to submit written updates on their assignments and hand over files, documents, passwords, equipment, media devices and other official material by 28 November.
Specific focal persons in administration, finance, engineering, technical and station management have been assigned to oversee the handovers.
Staff must also submit clearance forms, bank details, CNIC copies and updated contact numbers to the Administration Office.
The order states that all dues, including gratuity where applicable, leave encashment, pending salary differences and other claims, will be processed under SRBC rules and relevant laws.
Payments will be released only from available liquidation funds, following the priority list approved by the Islamabad High Court.
The notice stresses that ending services is a legal requirement of the liquidation process and should not be viewed as disciplinary action.
