Peshawar Board announces Matric 2026 results

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar has officially announced the Matric (SSC) Annual Examination 2026 results, bringing an end to the wait for thousands of students, parents and teachers across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

A large number of candidates appeared in this year’s Class 9 and Class 10 annual examinations. While thousands of students secured promotion to the next level, others fell short of the required marks and will have another opportunity to improve their performance in future examinations.

According to the board, 97,950 students appeared in the Class 9 annual examinations. Of these, 57,847 candidates successfully qualified and were promoted to the next grade, while the remaining students will need to improve their academic performance.

Meanwhile, 95,496 students sat the Class 10 (Matric) examinations. The results show that 66,988 candidates passed the exams, whereas 27,788 students failed to obtain the required passing marks.

Education experts say examination results reflect not only students’ hard work but also the quality of teaching, parental support and the overall learning environment. They stressed the need to improve educational standards, adopt modern teaching methods and provide students with a supportive academic atmosphere to achieve better outcomes.

The Peshawar Board congratulated all successful candidates and encouraged them to continue striving for academic excellence. It also advised unsuccessful students not to lose hope, emphasising that setbacks are part of the learning process and can be overcome through dedication, effective planning and guidance from teachers.

Following the announcement, thousands of students accessed the board’s official website and online portals to check their results. Educational institutions across the province have also started organising ceremonies to recognise high-achieving students and encourage others to work harder.

Overall, the BISE Peshawar Matric 2026 results highlight both encouraging achievements and the need for continued improvements in the education sector across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
