Pakistan defeated arch-rivals India by three wickets in a thrilling encounter at the Under-19 Asia Cup, with Hamza Zahoor scoring an unbeaten century to guide his team to victory. Batting first after winning the toss, India struggled against Pakistan’s bowling attack and were bowled out for 208 in 46.3 overs.

Arjun Rajput was India’s standout batter, scoring 107 runs off 85 deliveries. However, the rest of the batting line-up failed to build significant partnerships.

Pakistan’s bowling attack delivered an impressive performance, with Ali Raza, Naqab Shafiq and Rizwanullah claiming three wickets each. Ali Raza conceded 37 runs, Naqab Shafiq 42 and Rizwanullah 24.

Chasing a target of 209, Pakistan reached 209 for seven in 48.1 overs to seal a memorable three-wicket victory. Hamza Zahoor emerged as the hero of the chase, remaining unbeaten on 100 to steer Pakistan across the finish line. The victory further strengthened Pakistan’s record against India in the competition, with the national side having also defeated its arch-rivals in the final of the previous edition.

Hamza Zahoor had hoped to score a half-century against India a day earlier, but went a step further by smashing an unbeaten century to guide Pakistan to a memorable three-wicket victory in the Under-19 Asia Cup.
