Police have blocked roads leading to the press club by placing containers, while a water cannon has also been deployed at the site.

Whenever police use tear gas, PTI workers move into nearby streets and buildings. As soon as the police withdraw, the protesters regroup and resume their demonstration.

Due to the protest, shops in markets around Press Club Chowrangi have been closed, leaving several citizens stranded in the area.

Police officials said action was taken because the protest and rally were being held without permission.
