Senior Pakistani actress Sabahat Bukhari has said in a podcast that “healthy flirting” on drama sets can help create a positive working environment and improve on-screen chemistry.
The senior actress shared her views during a recent appearance on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast Excuse Me, where she spoke openly about various aspects of her personal and professional life.
‘Healthy flirting a positive thing’
During the conversation, Ahmed Ali Butt asked whether anyone had ever tried to flirt with her. Responding to the question, Sabahat Bukhari said that if he meant compliments or expressions of admiration, many fellow actors had appreciated her over the years.
She further added that she considered such remarks to be compliments. “It adds to your chemistry, but I think healthy flirting is good. The best compliment I have received is that my energy is very positive,” she said.
She added that “healthy flirting” is a positive thing, saying it can boost energy on set, strengthen relationships between co-stars, encourage friendships and contribute to better on-screen chemistry.

The actress also said that one of the best compliments she has received is that her positive energy has a positive impact on those around her.
Clarifying her stance, Sabahat Bukhari said she does not consider herself a flirtatious person. However, she added that if she genuinely admires a co-star or another individual for their positive qualities, she does not hesitate to express her appreciation.
