The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has unveiled the schedule for the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026, with arch-rivals Pakistan and India placed in the same group for the continental tournament. The eight-team event will be held in Dubai from August 28 to September 13, featuring the top women’s cricket teams from across Asia.
The eight-team tournament has been divided into two groups. Group A features defending champions India, Pakistan, Thailand, and Hong Kong, while Group B includes Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The opening match of the tournament will be played between Thailand and Hong Kong at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on August 28. All 15 matches of the event will be held at the same venue, with the final scheduled for September 13.
Pakistan’s women’s team will begin its Asia Cup campaign on September 1 against Thailand. Their most anticipated group-stage clash against arch-rivals India will take place on September 5, while Pakistan will play their final group match against Hong Kong on September 7.
According to the format, each team will face the other three teams in its group during the group stage. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals. The first semi-final will be played on September 10, followed by the second semi-final on September 11.
The tournament will begin with Thailand facing Hong Kong on August 28, followed by Sri Lanka taking on the UAE on August 29, India playing Thailand on August 30, and Bangladesh facing Indonesia on August 31.
Other group-stage fixtures include Pakistan vs Thailand on September 1, Sri Lanka vs Indonesia on September 2, India vs Hong Kong on September 3, and UAE vs Indonesia on September 4.
The high-profile Pakistan-India clash is scheduled for September 5, while Sri Lanka will face Bangladesh on September 6, Pakistan will take on Hong Kong on September 7, and Bangladesh will meet the UAE on September 8. In the semi-finals, the top-ranked team from Group A will face the second-placed team from Group B on September 10, while the second-placed team from Group A will take on the Group B leaders on September 11. The winner of the semi-finals will compete in the final on September 13.
