Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) mother passed away today. She passed away in the area of Buner district. Funeral will be held at 4pm on 8 August, Saturday (today) in Dagar village.
According to reports, Barrister Gohar’s mother have been ill for some time before her death. The news was confirmed through a post on the Barristers social media platform X. He shared the news of passing of his mother, describing her as respected, affectionate, and deeply loved by the family.
Further, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif offered his condolences soon after the announcement, stating that his heartfelt sympathies are with Barrister Gohar and his relatives during this period of loss. He prayed for the departed soul’s peace and for the family’s strength to bear the loss. Public figures and party members also shared their grief online through prayers for the deceased and expressing solidarity with the family.
However, arrangements for the funeral have been finalized, while family members and PTI leaders are making their way to the district to attend the funeral.
Moreover, Barrister Gohar belongs from Buner in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) is a senior lawyer by profession. He was elected PTI chairman in December 2023. He has become one of the most visible faces of PTI, frequently appearing before courts and the Election Commission of Pakistan on the party’s behalf.
