Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) is expected to experience hot and humid weather today. However, partly cloudy and rain conditions are likely to prevail across the province’s upper districts of KP.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), rain accompanied by strong winds and thunder is expected this evening or night at a few locations in Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra and Abbottabad. Similarly, isolated rainfall with strong winds and thunder may also occur in parts of Bajaur, Mohmand, and Khyber.
Southern districts of the province are likely to see higher temperatures compared to the hilly upper regions, where relatively moderate weather conditions are expected to persist.
Temperatures and rainfall recorded across the province
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) also released data on temperatures and rainfall recorded over the past 24 hours across various districts.

Situation in Chirtal
Previously, due to heavy rains, the flood situation worsened in Chitral. The flood situation in Chitral remained a serious concern, with debris blocking the natural flow of the Chitral River in Gehret Gol and forming a temporary lake-like dam. Rising water levels put riverside villages at risk. Erosion increased in areas like Beri Nisar and Gehret, damaging agricultural land and several homes. Residents urged authorities to urgently restore the river’s natural flow before further loss of life and property occurred.
On the other hand, during the coming week, Lahore is likely to see partly cloudy weather. Some areas may also receive rain and thunderstorms from time to time. The temperature may reach around 34°C.
Most districts are expected to remain warm and humid. However, rain along with strong winds and thunderstorms may occur in Murree, Galiyat, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, Okara and Sheikhupura.
