Veteran Pakistani actor Faran Tahir has addressed the strange scenario of simultaneous broadcasting of two dramas in which Saba Hameed onscreen plays the mother and wife of Faran Tahir.
After returning to Pakistani Television with a bang, Tahir is currently performing in the shows Bas Tera Saath Ho and Dar e Nijaat.
In the first drama, Hameed portrays his wife and in the second, she portrays his mother. Viewers appear to have taken notice of the unplanned casting and videos of this bizarre coincidence have been discussed extensively on social media.
When asked whether the dramas were recorded at the same or different times, Tahir explained that the dramas were indeed recorded at completely separate times.
The two parallel broadcasts were the choice of channel, and not because the dramas were made at the same time, the actor said.

Tahir explained, “However, the two projects had different production schedules; the channel decided to air them simultaneously.”
He added, “The cast and crew were not acting in both dramas at the same time, although their characters are on TV at the same time.”
