PTI welcomes SC order, asks supporters to stay away from hospital

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) welcomed the Supreme Court (SC) order on Imran Khan for transferring him to the hospital, and urged party workers and supporters to avoid heavy gatherings before the court, the private media outlet reported on Tuesday.

In a post on X, the party urged their workers to respect the decision of the Supreme Court (SC) and avoid gathering in front of the hospital.
The party statement came after the Supreme Court order to shift Imran Khan from Adiala jail to the Shifa International Hospital until September 16.

A three-member bench, including Justice Shahid Waheed, Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim, heard the petitions regarding Imran Khan’s health condition and meeting with the family members.

After hearing on Tuesday, the three-member bench ordered jail authorities to shift the PTI founder from Adiala to Shifa International Hospital until September 16.

Earlier, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Noreen Niazi met his incarcerated brother and PTI founder Imran Khan at Adiala jail, the private media outlet reported on Tuesday.

According to the details, Noreen Niazi met his brother in jail for 30 minutes. After meeting the PTI founder, Noreen Niazi avoided media talk and left with other sisters, Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan.

Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan was ordered to be transferred from Adiala Jail to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad, but reports that he will be transferred to the hospital today, August 18, 2026, have not been officially confirmed.
