An FIR has been registered against TV host and actor Sahir Lodhi at Shah Latif Town police station in Karachi, according to reports today. The case is related to allegedly bounced cheques worth millions of rupees.
Why was a case registered against Sahir Lodhi?
The case was filed on the complaint of Nazar Mohammad. According to FIR No. 1569/2026, the complainant said he had financial dealings with Lodhi.
The complainant claimed that Lodhi gave him several cheques as payment. However, the cheques were returned unpaid because there were not enough funds in the account.
Cheques worth millions allegedly bounced
According to the FIR, four cheques were worth Rs200,000 each. Two others were for Rs900,000 each. The remaining cheques were worth Rs4.5 million and Rs2 million.
Police said the case is being investigated. Further details will be known as the investigation continues.
Why doesn’t Sahir Lodhi bring his wife out in public?
Previously, Sahir Lodhi spoke about his wife, who is rarely seen in public. Lodhi said that his wife and children have never appeared on any TV show.
Although he has appeared on several morning shows, his wife has never joined him. He said he has never forced his wife to appear in public. According to Lodhi, staying away from the public eye is her own choice.
The actor also said that there is no need to call their relationship private. He believes his wife simply prefers to keep her life away from the spotlight.

During the same interview, Lodhi also spoke about his sleeping habits. He claimed that he sleeps very little and cannot sleep for more than two hours.
