Will Imran Khan be shifted to Shifa Hospital?

The Supreme Court has ordered authorities today to shift PTI founder Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital. The court has also asked for his complete medical record.

A three-member bench led by Justice Shahid Waheed heard the petitions about Imran Khan’s treatment and meetings with his family.

The Supreme Court ordered the formation of a medical board for Imran Khan. It said he should be moved to the hospital under strict security.

The authorities were also told to make sure that the situation outside the hospital remains peaceful.

In its interim order, the court said Shifa International Hospital should form a board of doctors. Imran Khan’s sister, Dr Uzma and his personal doctor will also be present.

The court also allowed Imran Khan to meet his family once a week. It also directed PTI not to use his treatment for political purposes. The court said Imran Khan would stay in the hospital until the next hearing.

The Supreme Court said Imran Khan’s family would cover the cost of his treatment at Shifa Hospital. It also told authorities to take steps to move him to the hospital within a few days.

The court said his medical report must not be used for political purposes. It warned that the facilities given to him could be withdrawn if the court’s order is not followed.

The court also asked for records of Imran Khan’s meetings with his sisters and his calls with his children. Adiala Jail officials were told to appear before the court at the next hearing.
