The administration of Shifa Hospital has placed a poster warning doctors, patients, and attendants to protect their watches outside the room where Imran Khan is expected to be kept.
The notices, also placed at various locations across the hospital premises, tell doctors and patients’ attendants to take responsibility for their personal watches.
The warning poster says, “All doctors and patients’ attendants are requested to take care of their own watches. In case of watch theft, the hospital administration will not be responsible.”
The poster is getting viral on social media and has appeared as preparations are reportedly under way at the hospital ahead of the possible arrival of Pakistan’s former prime minister Imran Khan.
The unusual warning has drawn attention because of its placement outside the room designated for Imran Khan, as well as in other areas of the hospital.
Shifa International Hospital is a major private medical facility in Islamabad. The administration has not been reported as accepting responsibility for the loss or theft of personal belongings under the warning.
The notices specifically refer to watches and urge those visiting or working at the hospital to keep their valuables secure.
