The Ministry of Religious Affairs has directed Hajj pilgrims to complete the booking and payment process only through the Pak Hajj App and Hajj Portal. All financial transactions under the Private Hajj Scheme will be conducted through the Hajj Portal. Through the app, pilgrims can select an authorised Hajj organiser as well as their preferred Hajj package.

According to a ministry spokesperson, pilgrims can pay their dues from home through the Hajj Portal. The ministry has not authorised any Hajj organiser to collect payments directly from pilgrims.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has warned that pilgrims who make payments to unauthorised agents or individuals will be responsible for any losses. Pilgrims have been advised not to make payments by cheque or cash to any company, whether authorised or unauthorised.

According to the ministry, the collection of dues through the Pak Hajj App and Hajj Portal will be carried out transparently under the ministry’s supervision. Pilgrims have been advised to use only the ministry’s authorised digital systems to protect themselves from fraud and scams.

Pilgrims already registered under the Private Hajj Scheme can also select an authorised Hajj company and Hajj package through the Hajj Portal. The registration process for new applicants is also continuing through the Hajj Portal and Pak Hajj App.

According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, a quota of 71,696 pilgrims has been allocated for the Private Hajj Scheme this year.

It is worth mentioning here that Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf had earlier inaugurated an online payment system for pilgrims wishing to perform Hajj in 2027, allowing them to pay their Hajj expenses digitally from home. The minister said people across Pakistan can now submit their Hajj fees online, with payments also available through bank cards.

Sardar Yousaf said more than 400,000 people have already registered through the Pak Hajj app. He added that, with the support of the National Information Technology Board (NITB), pilgrims have been provided with an online application facility, while the entire Hajj process has been digitised end-to-end. The minister said that following the launch of the online payment facility, pilgrims can now pay their Hajj expenses from the comfort of their homes. He further announced that 107,527 seats have been allocated to the government scheme for Hajj 2027.
