Actress Naimal Khawar has called out people for speculating that she is pregnant based on changes in her appearance and weight.
The actress initially responded to comments about her appearance with a cheeky Instagram caption. She wrote, “Turns out eating parathas all summer does, in fact, have consequences. Totally worth it though.”
However, later, in an Instagram story, Naimal directly addressed those who were quick to speculate.
“It is honestly fascinating and sad how comfortable people have become commenting on a woman’s body. Yes, my weight can fluctuate. Yes, I do not look the same as I did five years ago. Yes, motherhood changes you in ways you cannot imagine,” she wrote.
Naimal went on to give a reality check to those who feel entitled to comment on changes in a woman’s body, pointing out that weight and body changes can happen for several reasons, including hormonal changes.
She stressed that such changes should not be treated as an invitation for public commentary or speculation. Addressing women in particular, Naimal said they do not owe anyone the same body they had years ago and that their bodies are allowed to change without becoming a source of public entertainment.
Naimal Khawar and her husband, Hamza Ali Abbasi, are currently in Norway, where they appear to be attending a wedding. Photos from the celebrations recently gained attention on social media, prompting people to comment on Naimal’s appearance.
The couple got married in 2019 and welcomed a baby boy in 2020. Naimal’s acting career was short. However, it left a lasting mark. She did not act in many projects, but the ones she chose were significant. Her biggest success came with the television drama Anaa.
Naimal is an artist who graduated from the National College of Arts (NCA). She also co-owns the brand Sunkissed with her sisters.
