The Buner district administration has announced that all public and private educational institutions will remain closed on Monday, October 12, 2026.
The deputy commissioner issued an official notification confirming the decision.
The order applies to all schools, colleges and universities in the district.
Officials have also cancelled all examinations scheduled for Monday.
The authorities have directed the heads of all educational institutions to follow the orders.
Students are advised to contact their schools, colleges or universities for updates on their examination schedules.
Meanwhile, the Peshawar district administration has also announced a holiday for all educational institutions on October 12.
The Deputy Commissioner’s Office confirmed that all public and private schools, colleges and universities in Peshawar will remain closed.
Mardan educational institutions
Earlier, a report confirmed that all educational institutions in Mardan would also remain closed on October 12.
The deputy commissioner ordered all public and private schools, colleges and universities to remain closed.
Officials have also cancelled all examinations scheduled for Monday.
Meanwhile, the authorities have imposed an emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
The government has also introduced governor’s rule in the province.
Officials have approved these measures under Articles 232 and 234 of the Constitution.
