Senior Pakistani actor Shahnawaz Zaidi has opened up about his decision to marry for a second time. He revealed that he once opposed the idea of a second marriage.
The veteran actor during a show spoke about one of the most difficult periods of his life. He explained how the death of his wife deeply affected him and changed his views about marriage.
Zaidi said he had never imagined that he would marry again. He said that whenever someone mentioned the possibility of marrying again, he would laugh at the suggestion. At that stage of his life, he believed there was no reason for him to consider another marriage.
Why Shahnawaz Zaidi decided to marry again?
The senior actor said that some time after his wife’s death, he began to experience a difficult period in his life.
He said he felt disconnected from the world and no longer found enjoyment in everyday life.
Zaidi explained that even when he was physically present somewhere, he often felt as if his mind was somewhere else.
As time passed, Zaidi began to understand that he needed companionship in his life. This difficult experience eventually made him reconsider his previous views about remarriage.
According to the actor, this was the point when he realised that getting married again might be the right decision for him. His decision was therefore not something he had planned earlier.
The veteran actor has spent many years working in Pakistan’s entertainment industry and is known for his performances on television. He has been honored with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Pride of Performance) for his contributions to art and education.
