Karachi gas loadshedding has been scheduled in different parts of the city, with domestic consumers receiving gas supply during specific hours while facing suspensions during peak-demand and night-time periods.
According to the Karachi gas loadshedding schedule, domestic consumers generally receive gas three times a day, with supply interruptions scheduled during several hours.
Karachi gas loadshedding schedule
Under the current Karachi gas loadshedding schedule, gas supply suspensions are expected during the following periods:
- Morning: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Afternoon/Evening: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
- Night: 10:00 PM to 5:30 AM the following morning
Gas is generally available during the early morning, midday and evening supply windows outside the scheduled suspension periods.
Areas affected by Karachi gas loadshedding
The Karachi gas loadshedding schedule affects several localities across the city. Areas experiencing heavier interruptions include Federal B Area, North Nazimabad, Malir, Khokhrapar, Landhi, Orangi Town and North Karachi.
Other localities reporting gas supply disruptions include Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Nazimabad, Garden and Liaquatabad.
Residents in affected areas are advised to plan cooking and other household activities according to the Karachi gas loadshedding schedule and remain alert for any changes in supply timings.
On the other hand, Karachi residents will now have to pay higher water and sewerage charges. The new rates will apply from July 1, 2026.
The Sindh government has approved revised water and sewerage charges for the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC). An official gazette notification has also been issued about this.
How much have the water and sewerage charges increased?
Under the new tariff, water and sewerage charges have been increased by an average of 7.5 per cent for the financial year 2026-27.
The increase is based on the average Consumer Price Index (CPI). As a result, Karachi residents will pay higher monthly charges for water and sewerage services.

This means the amount paid by residential users will depend on the area of their plot.
