Swabi Motorway Blocked: Thousands Stranded as PTI Protesters Burn Tyres

The demonstration led to long traffic jams. It left motorists stranded for several hours, and they expressed frustration over the chaos.

About only 200 protesters blocked a motorway by burning tyres. It caused traffic jams and created chaos for thousands of commuters.

The demonstration severely disrupted travel, and stranded motorists expressed anger at the PTI over the incident.

A passenger at Swabi Interchange criticised PTI’s protest, saying the demonstration should be limited as these roads belong to the public.

‘There may be patients and passengers on the road, which creates serious problems for people. Such actions are not appropriate,’ the passenger stated.

Previously, Imran Khan’s sister Uzma Khan and his lawyer Salman Safdar met the PTI founder in jail after the prison administration granted permission under jail manual rules.

According to details, the meeting was allowed on the condition that no political discussion or activity would take place during or after the interaction.

Officials said this condition was necessary to ensure compliance with jail regulations.

The prison administration’s decision comes after days of uncertainty over family and legal access to Imran Khan.

PTI nominated Uzma Khan and Salman Safdar for the meeting, which has been described as a sensible step in line with the conditions set by the authorities.

Sources said the jail administration has made it clear that family and lawyers will continue to receive meeting permissions only if there is no political activity or statements following such interactions. Otherwise, the decision may be reviewed.

His sister also stated that Imran Khan’s health is completely fine.
