Babar Azam has acknowledged that the Pakistan team didn’t utilise the comfortable batting conditions at Lord’s on Sunday, resulting in their second consecutive loss in the England series.
Pakistan suffered a heavy defeat of 194 runs in the fourth innings of the match after being given a challenging target of 389 runs.
They had a promising start with the ball, but were not able to perform with the bat, and the visitors were bowled out for 194 runs in 50.5 overs.
Babar admitted that Pakistan’s batting attack was not up to the mark during the post-match presentation.
He appreciated the brilliant spell put on by Mohammad Abbas and the spirited performance from Saud Shakeel in the second innings’ collapse of the team.

Babar said that they did try to utilise the conditions, but their batting was not up to the mark. He complimented Abbas for his bowling and also appreciated Saud Shakeel for his batting.
The Pakistan skipper said that the Pakistani side had tried to play according to their plans and make partnerships but failed to make any meaningful partnerships to stay competitive.
He said that they tried to do what they had planned; they tried to build partnerships, but they failed.
Abbas got a pat on the back from Babar for his impressive five-wicket haul at the famous Lord’s cricket ground, which was a “special moment” in the seamer’s career.
He said that a Lord’s five-wicket haul is one of the most memorable moments for Abbas. He further said that they are trying their best with both the ball and the bat.
Saud was the most prominent batsman for Pakistan hitting a stubborn 97 off 122 deliveries, striking 13 fours and two sixes.
His grit and determination, though, could not help Pakistan.
