The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to conduct a high-level investigation into Imam-ul-Haq’s alleged fake injury.
After Pakistan’s 194-run defeat against England in the Lord’s Test and failure in the three-match series, the Pakistan team management held an emergency meeting in London, in which important decisions were taken.
According to sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to send wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan and opener Imam-ul-Haq back to Pakistan immediately.
Concern was expressed over Mohammad Rizwan’s poor performance, particularly his irresponsible dismissals in two consecutive Tests.

Imam-ul-Haq’s calf injury during the Lord’s Test has also come under question. It has been reported that the opener complained of discomfort on the first day of the match and did not come out to bat in the second innings after the first innings.
Following doubts over the injury raised by media reports and some former cricketers, the board has decided to conduct a high-level investigation into the matter.
According to sources, Imam-ul-Haq’s medical report and the role of the team management will also be reviewed.
It is worth mentioning that questions have previously been raised over Imam-ul-Haq’s fitness-related matters as well, which is why the matter is being taken seriously this time.
Meanwhile, major changes in the team are expected before the third Test, which begins in Birmingham on September 9, while Saim Ayub and Arafat Minhas are highly likely to be included in the squad.
It is worth recalling that Pakistan suffered a defeat at Lord’s after 16 years, following which England took a decisive 2-0 lead in the series.
