Pakistan Railways has announced the fares for September for passengers travelling on trains between Lahore and Rawalpindi, one of the country’s busiest railway routes.
Pakistan Railways operates several trains on the Lahore-Rawalpindi route, which serves thousands of passengers every day. These include Subak Kharam, Subak Afkar, Rawal Express, Islamabad Express, Awam Express, Khyber Mail, Jaffar Express, Green Line and Tezgam.
The 5UP Green Line covers the Lahore-Rawalpindi journey in around four hours and 25 minutes. It departs from Lahore Junction at 4:10pm and arrives at Rawalpindi Railway Station at 8:35pm.
The train offers several classes, including Economy, AC Standard, AC Parlour and AC Business.
According to the fare schedule issued by Pakistan Railways for September, the Lahore-Rawalpindi Green Line fares are:
- Economy Class: Rs2,350
- AC Standard: Rs3,800
- AC Parlour: Rs4,150
- AC Business: Rs4,700
Passengers can make online reservations through the RABTA app, which provides booking and payment facilities.
Travellers can also use the Track My Train app to check live train tracking, the train’s current location and updates during their journey.
