Overseas Pakistanis living in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) can now access Punjab’s land and property records without travelling to Pakistan.
The Pakistani Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai have formally launched Punjab Land Record Services in the UAE, making it easier for overseas Pakistanis to access land-related services in Punjab.
According to a statement issued by the Pakistani Embassy, the service has been introduced in collaboration with the Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) and is now available at both the embassy and the consulate general.
Following the launch, both missions have started issuing Fard, an official document showing land ownership records.
The new facility will allow Pakistanis living in the UAE to obtain Punjab land records and access other property-related services without travelling to Pakistan. The initiative aims to make government services more accessible, transparent and efficient for overseas Pakistanis.
The embassy said the launch of PLRA services in the UAE is part of the government’s broader efforts to improve digital services for overseas Pakistanis and make access to public services easier for the Pakistani community abroad.
Pakistanis seeking to use the facility can contact the embassy or consulate general through their 24/7 helplines for further information. They can also visit the relevant mission during official working hours.
The initiative is expected to particularly benefit overseas Pakistanis who own or manage land and property in Punjab and previously had to travel to Pakistan to obtain official land records.
