The expensive timepiece quickly became a talking point on social media, with netizens reacting to the eye-watering price of the watch worn by Mahnoor Safdar’s husband Azaan Jabbar on the special occasion.
The watch is identified as a Patek Philippe Cubitus, one of the Swiss luxury watchmaker’s high-end models. Its reported price of $45,000 puts the value at around Rs1.25 crore, depending on the exchange rate.
Mahnoor Safdar’s wedding
Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz’s daughter, Mahnoor Safdar’s wedding, has been the talk of the town for the past few days.
The Nikkah ceremony reportedly took place today at Jati Umra in Lahore.
According to reports, the ceremony was a private affair attended by only a limited number of guests.
Former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Hassan Nawaz, Hussain Nawaz, members of the Sharif family and close relatives attended the Nikkah ceremony.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb also attended the ceremony, as per reports.
Mahnoor married Azan Jabbar, son of industrialist Jabbar Khalid. Azan holds a bachelor’s degree from SOAS University of London, the same university from which Mahnoor recently graduated.
It is pertinent to mention that Mahnoor’s brother Junaid got married to Shanzeh Ali Rohale, who is the granddaughter of former MNA Sheikh Rohale Asghar. Shanzeh and Mahnoor were reportedly childhood friends.
