Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political and Public Affairs Senator Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that modern farming facilities and access to agricultural land will help farmers increase production and become financially independent.
He made these remarks while addressing a ceremony at Ayub Agricultural Research Institute (AARI) in Faisalabad on Saturday.
During the event, he distributed keys of 80 green tractors among successful applicants under the fourth phase of the Punjab Green Tractor Scheme.
He also handed over pay orders to 354 selected farmers under the “Apna Khet Apna Rozgar” scheme.

How will the schemes benefit farmers?

Congratulating the selected farmers, Rana Sanaullah said the schemes would help modernise agriculture and improve farming activities.
He said modern machinery and access to cultivable land would allow farmers to work more efficiently and increase their crop production.
He added that these facilities would also create jobs and improve the living standards of farming families. Small landholders would get better opportunities to earn a stable income and become self-reliant.
Rana Sanaullah said the Punjab government was committed to merit and transparency in all public welfare schemes.
He urged the selected farmers to make full use of the facilities and improve their farming practices.
He also advised beneficiaries to contact the relevant government offices if they faced any problems or had complaints.
He said federal, provincial and district governments must work together to listen to citizens and solve their problems.

What did the deputy commissioner say?

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nauman Siddique said both schemes had received more applications than expected. He said this showed the strong interest of farmers in the government initiatives.
He advised applicants who were not selected in the current phase to remain hopeful. They would have another chance to apply in future phases.
Congratulating the successful applicants, he said the tractors and agricultural land would help them expand their farming activities and improve their financial conditions.
He added that farmers’ hard work and access to modern facilities could play an important role in strengthening Pakistan’s economy.

What did Rana Sanaullah say about regional peace?

Rana Sanaullah also spoke about the regional and international situation. He said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir were making active diplomatic efforts to promote peace and secure a ceasefire in the region.
