Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz’s daughter Mahnoor Safdar’s nikkah necklace by Mouawad is reportedly worth millions of dollars.
The necklace and earrings feature fancy vivid and deep yellow diamonds, set against a scintillating backdrop of brilliant white diamonds.
According to the website, the “pinnacle of these exceptional gems lies at the heart of the Dragon necklace, an extraordinary polished 54.21-carat round brilliant-cut Fancy Vivid yellow diamond, known as the Mouawad Dragon and revered as the largest diamond of its type graded to date by the Gemological Institute of America.”

The necklace comes as part of a set featuring earrings, a bracelet and a ring. However, Mahnoor was seen wearing only the necklace and earrings. She paired the jewellery with an expensive Rolex watch and diamond rings, including a diamond engagement ring.
According to social media reports, the earrings and necklace are worth USD 15 million, which is approximately PKR 4.15 billion (450 crore).
However, the confirmed price could not be verified by the jewellery company.
Some reports have claimed that the necklace appears to closely resemble Anna Zuckerman’s Royal Carina Statement Necklace, which is listed at $1,800 (PKR 498,306)
The necklace and earrings could also have been custom-made, so the actual price cannot be officially confirmed. Therefore, it would be inaccurate to state any reported price as certain.
Mahnoor Safdar’s watch price has also caught the attention of social media users. The price is estimated at around $11,000 (approx. PKR 3 million). Mahnoor got married to Azan Jabbar, son of industrialist Jabbar Khalid. Azan holds a bachelor’s degree from SOAS University of London, the same university from which Mahnoor recently graduated.
It is pertinent to mention that natural yellow diamonds are expensive because they are exceptionally rare, with only one natural colored diamond found for every 10,000 colorless diamonds. Their unique colour comes from nitrogen atoms absorbing blue and violet light during the diamond’s formation deep within the Earth over billions of years. Prices do not rise in a straight line as a stone gets bigger. A larger yellow diamond costs exponentially more per carat because large, vividly colored rough stones are exceptionally scarce.
