A photograph of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi travelling in economy class alongside ordinary passengers while returning to Pakistan from the United Arab Emirates has garnered significant attention on social media.
The image circulating online shows Mohsin Naqvi seated in economy class among other passengers, appearing to travel like an ordinary citizen. Naqvi had recently visited the United Arab Emirates, where his engagements focused on strengthening cooperation between the UAE and Pakistan in areas including security and immigration.
In February this year, on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit in Dubai, Naqvi met with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan. During the meeting, the two sides agreed to enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Naqvi currently serves as Federal Interior Minister, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), and President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). In this capacity, he was also seen participating in Asia Cup-related activities in Dubai recently.
Following the release of photographs showing him travelling in economy class alongside regular passengers, social media users praised the move, describing it as an example of the simple and modest travel style of a senior government official.
Naqvi has previously held high-level meetings with UAE officials on a range of issues, including security cooperation, visa-related challenges faced by Pakistani citizens, and efforts to prevent crime.
