The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued an important warning for Pakistanis living in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Italy and Portugal.
NADRA has urged overseas Pakistanis to stay away from unauthorised agents and organisations offering NADRA and passport-related services in these countries.
The authority advised citizens not to conduct any transactions with such agents or organisations.
According to NADRA, some of these illegal operators are charging citizens excessive fees for services and may also be involved in stealing or misusing personal identity information.
NADRA said it has started legal action against such individuals and organisations.
The authority also urged overseas Pakistanis to remain cautious and use only authorised channels for NADRA and passport-related services to protect their personal information and avoid financial losses.

Earlier, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) issued an important advisory for parents applying for identity documents for children under the age of 18.
The instructions apply to applications for the Child Registration Certificate (CRC), known as B-Form, Juvenile Card and NICOP.
According to the advisory, parents should first make sure that their marital status is correctly recorded in NADRA’s database. Parents who are married should ensure that their status is not incorrectly shown as ‘unmarried.’
