Federal Minister for Interior of Pakistan Mohsin Naqvi said on Friday that after the decision by the Islamabad High Court (IHC), no one can storm the Federal capital.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, the interior minister stated that anyone who disobeys the court orders will face contempt of court.
Mohsin Naqvi stated that many heavy losses have been suffered in the past. If fire is opened on the jawans, they will not remain silent.
‘Forces have been ordered to stop protestors by any means’
He added that law enforcement agencies have been instructed to stop them by every possible means.
Mohsin Naqvi stated that if protests are to be held, they should take place in one’s own area. Adding that permission to storm Islamabad will not be granted.
He noted that preparations regarding the protest have been finalised and they are fully prepared.
The Federal Minister emphasised that there must be a distinction between political rallies and unruly mobs.
He remarked that the country has suffered heavy losses in the past due to such situations.
He warned that if fire is opened on young people, they will not remain silent. Further adding that law enforcement agencies have been instructed to stop these groups using every possible means.
‘CM KP should concentrate on terrorism in own province’
Mohsin Naqvi stated that while they are busy laying martyrs to rest, others are staging protests.
He urged the Chief Minister (CM) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to focus on combating terrorism in KP rather than organising a long march.
He asserted that the country must unite to confront terrorists, as conflicts and infighting will not resolve issues.
Naqvi warned that if even a single life is lost, those who brought the mob and organised it would be held responsible.
The Federal Minister remarked that if issues could be resolved through mobs, then by all means, proceed; they are fully prepared for that scenario. He reiterated that it is their duty to prevent such protests.
