Pakistani singer Asim Azhar has praised Hania Aamir’s debut single ‘Pablo’, adding fresh fuel to ongoing social media speculation about the former couple.
Asim described Hania’s new track as a “banger” in a recent interview. He also praised her creativity and said he was excited to see her explore a different side of herself as an artist.
Asim said he could relate to Hania’s way of expressing herself through art. He also urged Pakistani audiences to be less critical when listening to music. According to him, music should be treated as a form of expression rather than judged like a talent competition.
He pointed out that Hania is already known as an actress but has now started writing and expressing her feelings through music. Asim particularly praised the lyrics of ‘Pablo’, which Hania wrote herself. He said the lines cleverly address several controversies surrounding her public life.
Asim also said he would like to see more female pop artists emerge from Pakistan. He hopes Hania’s move into music will encourage more women from Pakistan, South Asia and elsewhere to explore the industry.
Asim and Hania spark social media buzz
Asim’s comments came shortly after he used ‘Pablo’ in an Instagram reel featuring moments from his London music tour. He captioned the post ‘Agaaye jee’ with a playful emoji.
Actors Sonya Hussyn and Saheefa Jabbar Khattak reacted humorously to the reel. Hania later shared Asim’s post on her own Instagram Story and wrote ‘OH’. Their interaction attracted attention from fans.
Asim and Hania reportedly dated between 2018 and 2020. Their recent online interactions have led some fans to speculate that they may have rekindled their relationship. However, neither Asim nor Hania has confirmed these rumours.
Similar speculation emerged in June when Hania posted a reel featuring Asim’s song ‘Aarzu’. Fans focused on a female voice saying ‘Phir se bolo’ in the track and speculated that it might be Hania.
Hania released “Pablo” debut song
Hania released Pablo on September 9 as her first official music track. This marked another step in her career after completing a decade in the entertainment industry. The Punjabi hip-hop song was written and composed by Hania herself.
The song theme centres on Hania responding to criticism about her personality, appearance and public image.
In the song, Hania addresses people who accuse her of being ‘fake’ and those who constantly follow her.
She confidently tells her critics not to worry about her, making it clear that their negative comments do not affect her.
The actress shared the song on her official Instagram account, where it quickly drew attention from fans and social media users.
Indian personality Rakhi Sawant also makes a surprise voice appearance near the end of the track, praising Hania and encouraging her to ignore criticism.
