New operating hours have been announced for Gwadar Airport, with the revised schedule remaining in effect until December 30, 2026.
The airport will remain closed for regular operations on three days each week, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Flight operations will continue on the remaining four days, but only during specific operating hours.
Passengers travelling through Gwadar should carefully check their flight timings before planning their journey according to the revised schedule.
New Gwadar Airport operating schedule
On Monday and Thursday, Gwadar Airport will remain operational from 2:15pm until 4:45pm.
The airport will have two separate operating windows on Tuesday. The first will run from 7:30am to 9:30am. Operations will then resume from 12:30pm until 2:15pm.
On Sunday, the airport will remain operational from 10am until 1:30pm.
Regular airport operations will remain closed on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday under the revised schedule. The arrangement will remain effective until December 30.
Special rules for flights outside operating hours
Special arrangements have also been announced for aircraft that need to use Gwadar Airport outside the designated operating hours.
Civilian or military aircraft planning to operate outside the scheduled timings must inform the airport administration at least 24 hours in advance.
The same advance-notification requirement will apply to unscheduled civil and non-civil aircraft. This will allow the airport authorities to make the necessary arrangements before such flights arrive or depart.
Gwadar Airport is not shutting down completely. It is moving to restricted weekly operating hours. Flights can continue on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday during the specified periods.
Travellers should therefore confirm their flight schedule directly with their airline before heading to the airport.
