Former federal minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Hammad Azhar was presented before the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore in connection with the Jinnah House attack case.
Police produced Azhar before the court after completing his 21-day physical remand. The prosecution requested a further 14-day physical remand to continue the investigation.
The prosecutor told the court that police needed to recover Azhar’s mobile phone and SIM card, describing them as important pieces of evidence in the case.
After hearing the prosecution’s request, the court extended Hammad Azhar’s physical remand by seven days.
The case relates to the attacks on Jinnah House and other sites in Lahore during the violent protests of May 9, 2023.
During his court appearance, Hammad Azhar said that he stands with Imran Khan and is not concerned about anything.
