Web desk: The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has announced vacancies for Medical Officers, Public Health Specialists, Pharmacists, and Paramedics for the Hajj 2026 mission.
This means that applications are now open for candidates from all over Pakistan.
Applications from regular government civil servants working in federal, provincial, Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) departments and hospitals are encouraged.
Eligible candidates must be working in BPS-17 or BPS-18 positions.
Job details
The selected staff will provide medical services to Pakistani pilgrims in Saudi Arabia during Hajj 2026.
The recruitment will be carried out through the National Testing Service (NTS).

Eligibility criteria
- Candidates must be federal or provincial civil servants in medical positions.
- Fresh candidates must be between 25 and 50 years old. Repeat candidates can be up to 55 years old.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the relevant field is required. Contract or ad hoc service will be counted.
- Candidates must be medically and physically fit. Those with disabilities, chronic diseases, or mental health issues are not eligible. A fitness certificate from a DHQ hospital is required.
- Repeaters can only make up a maximum of 30 per cent of each category.
Selection process
- Candidates will be selected through a written test conducted by NTS.
- Specialists must hold FRCS, FCPS, or FRCP qualifications.
- Departmental No Objection Certificates must be submitted by selected candidates before deployment.
- Selected candidates must submit attested copies of their service and academic documents for visa processing to Saudi Arabia.
Other important information
Some other important information regarding this opportunity is that the ministry may increase or decrease the number of vacancies based on need.
The ministry can also cancel the recruitment process at any stage without explanation.
The male to female staff ratio will be 70:30, as per the details provided.
Additionally, no travel allowance or daily allowance will be provided during the selection process.
