The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced the Fulbright Scholar Program 2027 for students in partnership with the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP).
The program is open to Pakistani scholars and professionals who want to teach or conduct postdoctoral research in the US.
What does the Fulbright scholarship cover?
The scholarship covers international travel expenses, a living allowance, health insurance and a research allowance.
The program will also provide funding for one accompanying dependent. This can be helpful for scholars who need to travel with a family member.
The program is open to applicants from almost all academic fields. However, clinical medicine is not included.
Scholars from social sciences, humanities, science, technology, arts and other fields can apply.

HEC announces funded international Quaid-e-Azam Memorial Fellowship
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced the Quaid-e-Azam Memorial Fellowship for Pakistani and AJK PhD scholars.
The fellowship will give selected scholars a chance to conduct research for six months at leading universities and research institutions abroad.
The programme was launched to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Applications opened on October 6, 2026. The last date to apply is October 30, 2026.
