The Pakistani Consulate General in the United States has announced a holiday on October 12 in observance of Columbus Day. The Consulate General of Pakistan will remain closed to the public on Monday, October 12, 2026, in observance of Columbus Day.
According to an official notice issued by the consulate, all consular services will remain suspended on the day. The consulate said that normal office operations and consular services will resume on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Meanwhile, reports about three public holidays in Pakistan are circulating online. However, there is no official announcement for holidays on Wednesday, October 14, Thursday, October 15 or Friday, October 16, 2026 as of now.
