The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has launched an investigation against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Murad Saeed, with its Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter summoning Malik Sardar Ahmed to appear before investigators on October 28.

According to a NAB spokesperson, the investigation concerns allegations of corruption, misconduct and assets allegedly beyond known sources of income. The bureau has issued summons notices as part of its ongoing probe into the matter.

Malik Sardar Ahmed has been directed to appear in person and bring all relevant documents and records to assist the investigation.

The inquiry is part of NAB KP’s efforts to examine alleged financial irregularities and establish whether the assets under scrutiny can be justified through legitimate sources of income.

However, the allegations remain under investigation, and no conclusion regarding wrongdoing has been established. The outcome of the inquiry will depend on the evidence gathered and the findings of the accountability watchdog.

Earlier, details have emerged about the whereabouts of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former federal minister Murad Saeed, who has long been wanted by law enforcement agencies. Information attributed to government sources places Saeed in Afghanistan’s Paktika province, where he is reported to be living among TTP-linked figures while remaining involved in political developments in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

The revelations have intensified scrutiny of Saeed’s reported presence across the border and the security implications of his reported connections with militant commanders. The information attributed to the federal government and officials, including Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Rana Sanaullah, raises serious questions about the relationship between PTI’s political activities and the security situation in KP.
