The trophy for the Pakistan-hosted One-Day International (ODI) Tri-Series was unveiled at Governor House in Lahore, with Pakistan captain Shaheen Shah Afridi and Sri Lankan skipper Kusal Mendis posing for photographs alongside the trophy ahead of the final.
Speaking on the occasion, Shaheen said Pakistan needed to score runs in the top order and build strong partnerships to post a competitive total. He expressed confidence that the team would deliver a strong performance in the final.
The Pakistan captain said his side had performed well throughout the tournament, while acknowledging that Sri Lanka were also a strong opponent. Meanwhile, Sri Lankan captain Kusal Mendis described the final as an important match for his team, saying the players had prepared thoroughly for the contest against Pakistan. Both teams will look to finish the tournament on a winning note as they prepare to compete for the ODI Tri-Series title.
