KOHAT: Following a flop show in Peshawar, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is facing setbacks ahead of it’s rally in Kohat today, December 14.
As per details, a massive board installed on the main stage suddenly collapsed just hours before the event was set to begin. The incident triggered chaos among party workers and organisers present at the venue.
Eyewitnesses revealed that preparations were underway on the stage when the giant board lost balance and crashed to the ground. The workers ran to escape from the falling board.
Initial reports indicate no casualties or injuries from the collapse. Party members suggested that strong winds or a technical fault during installation could have caused the incident. Workers said that the stage setup and other arrangements are now being thoroughly reviewed to prevent any further incidents.
Attendees were requested to remain calm and cooperate with the organisers.
Such incidents highlight safety protocols at large public gatherings and the need for organisers to ensure safety standards ahead of such events to avoid any mishaps.
PTI using govt resources in Kohat rally violating court orders
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is under severe criticism for allegedly using government resources during rally in Kohat, with special measures taken by the administration to clean roads and improve routes ahead of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister’s arrival.
Eyewitnesses reported that ahead of the PTI Kohat rally, government machinery was used on various highways and main routes, roads were cleaned, and pathways were leveled. Videos of these activities have gone viral on social media, clearly showing cleaning staff and government vehicles.
Local residents and eyewitnesses stated that “extensive government resources are being used for the PTI Kohat rally,” claiming these steps were taken ahead of the Chief Minister’s arrival to make the rally arrangements appear better.
It is pertinent to mention here thatthe Peshawar High Court earlier issued a strong order prohibiting the use of government resources in political rallies, marches, and other political events.
The decision came during a hearing on a petition that accused the PTI KP government of using official machinery and employees for political purposes, including the Million March.
