APS Peshawar: 11 years since massacre

PESHAWAR: It has been eleven years since the horrific APS Peshawar massacre.

December 16 is a solemn day, the anniversary of the attack. This is a day when terrorists invaded the Army Public School in 2014.

Those savages took the lives of 144 individuals. Unfortunately, the majority of the victims were innocent schoolchildren.

Today, the whole nation stands still to commemorate martyrs. Candles are being held by the citizens in Pakistan.

Special prayers are being made for the dead souls. The victims of the attack still leave behind unimaginable grief in their families.

Their agony is still apparent a decade later. Also, the gruesome memory acts as a reminder of the price of terrorism.

The day is a representation of fearlessness and national power. Pakistan restates its commitment to defending all citizens.

Since 2014, educational institutions have increased security to a higher degree. The young heroes will never be forgotten by the nation. Their determination for the future is driven by their memory.

Subsequently, the security forces have embarked on massive counter-terrorism measures. These were measures that were to destroy terror networks within the country.

These deaths were not in vain. The martyrs will be remembered till the last day.
