Man brutally assaults domestic worker in Karachi

KARACHI: A domestic worker was allegedly brutally assaulted by a man in the Buffer Zone, Karachi.

According to the first information report (FIR) filed at Gabol Town Police Station. The complainant, Yasmeen, stated that she was employed as a cleaner in a private household.

And was beaten up by the suspect identified as Noman after an argument.

“On December 11, when I finished my work, the suspect came and started hitting me,” she alleged. “He pushed me down the stairs while verbally abusing me.”

She added, “I was rescued by the residents; however, I sustained injuries to my face and internal parts of my body.”

The video of a woman getting brutally beaten up by a man has gone viral on social media.

The video clearly shows a man, identified as Noman, beating up the woman. While another person is trying to stop him.

Action Taken by the Police

Police said that a first information report (FIR) has already been filed against the accused on the complaint of the victim. The following sections of the Pakistan Penal Code have been imposed: Sections 504, 354, and 337.

They said that the suspect is still missing, but our teams are searching for him everywhere.

Sindh Minister’s Stance on the Incident

After the video went viral on social media, Sindh Minister for Women’s Development, Shahina Sher Ali, instantly took notice of the incident and asked for the details from the Police.

She further instructed the Police to conduct an immediate and transparent inquiry.
