Journalist Shahzeb Khanzada has openly exposed former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s claims in the Toshakhana case.

According to Khanzada, the case against Imran Khan was merit-based, as the former PM repeatedly lied at every opportunity.

He stated that Imran initially claimed he had made a 50 per cent payment for the gifts he received, then said he had constructed a road in Bani Gala, and later asserted that a money trail existed. However, all three claims were proven false.

Shahzeb Khanzada further revealed that Imran had actually made only a 20 per cent payment, did not build the road, and had no money trail. He also did not make the payment from his own account, and the shopkeeper declared the receipt to be fake.

Khanzada said that Imran consistently lied and tried to mislead the public.

According to him, the Toshakhana case required transparency, and the decision was made entirely on merit.

Earlier, Imran and his wife were sentenced to overall 17 years each and a fine of over Rs 10 million in the Toshakhana-2 case.

The case was heard by Special Judge Central Shah Rukh Arjumand.

The couple was produced in the courtroom. Defence Lawyer Salman Safdar and special prosecutor Zulfiqar Abbas Naqvi were also present along with their team.
