The protest, initially framed as a demonstration for Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, soon turned into a gathering speaking against COAS CDF Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.

A video shared by PTI UK during the protest shows participants making direct threats against the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. It even includes comments about targeting him in a car-bomb attack.
Observers have expressed shock at the severity of the statements. The threats and such a violent approach are unsettling, especially when taking place outside the Pakistan Consulate in Bradford.
During the protest, some demonstrators claimed that the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir, had made multiple controversial statements.
One participant could be heard stating, in reference to the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir, that he would be “targeted in his car.” This signals in an extreme and threatening tone.
‘How can the UK allow this?’: social media users question
Social media users have even questioned how such a violent gathering can be allowed on the United Kingdom’s soil.
The rhetoric did not stop there. The speaker also claimed that “bad duas” or curses have been directed at the COAS CDF Field Marshal Asim Munir.
The demonstrators followed these claims with slogans, chanting, “Kon bachayega Pakistan, Imran Khan, Imran Khan!”
The combination of personal threats has raised serious concerns regarding the nature of overseas political demonstrations and their potential implications for national security.
It has been deemed even more problematic that the threats were said out loud outside the Pakistan Consulate in Bradford, UK.
