Web Desk: After the rain in parts of the country for days, the Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted cold and dry weather across most the country today and partly cloudy conditions in several regions.
In Pakistan’s northern areas, including Gilgit-Baltistan, the weather is expected to remain cloudy, while light rain and snowfall may occur at a few locations. The federal capital Islamabad and surrounding areas are also likely to experience cold weather with partly cloudy skies.
The Met Office has said that Baluchistan may receive heavy rainfall from tomorrow until January 1, while snowfall is expected in Ziarat, Chaman, and other mountainous areas during the same period. Most districts of Baluchistan will continue to experience cold conditions and partly cloudy skies in northern and northwestern areas.
In Sindh, cold and dry weather is expected to persist across most districts. Fog is likely to affect Sukkur, Rohri, Shikarpur, Kashmir, Shaheed Benazirabad, and nearby areas.
KP is expected to remain cold with partly cloudy weather in most districts and upper districts may experience severe cold. Light rain and snowfall are also possible in Kohistan, Battagram, Chitral, and surrounding areas.
Azad Kashmir will face very cold weather with partly cloudy skies. In different parts of Punjab, cold conditions will prevail across most districts and upper areas that are including Murree and Galiyat, are expected to remain cold and cloudy.
Islamabad’s weather turns pleasant with much-awaited rain
Earlier after a prolonged period of dry weather in Islamabad, the federal capital received its first rainfall, making the weather pleasant in the city and its surroundings.
As per details, the much-needed rain hit Islamabad and Rawalpindi early morning on last Sunday morning.
A large number of people are expected to visit recreational spots, including Damn-i-Koh, Pir Sohawa, Lake View Park, Rawal Dam and Pakistan Monument with family to enjoy the pleasant weather.
