Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz left for a foreign visit on Sunday.
Party sources said the two will stay in Dubai for two days, after which Nawaz Sharif is expected to travel to London. During the Dubai visit, Nawaz Sharif will personally invite guests to the upcoming wedding of his grandson, Junaid Safdar, which is scheduled to take place next month.
The sources added that Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz departed for Dubai from their residence in Jati Umra.

According to Rohale Asghar, the wedding events will be held from January 16 to January 18, 2026. He said the proposal was finalised with the involvement of Maryam Nawaz’s elder daughter and her husband, Raheel Munir.
Sharing further details, Asghar said the family was pleased with the match. He also revealed that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif hosted a dinner to formally finalise the relationship, adding that the hospitality shown by Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz left a strong impression on his wife.
