Oppo Reno 15 series brings flagship-grade cameras to a tougher mid-range

Oppo Reno 15 Pro

Oppo has rolled out its Reno 15 series beyond China, bringing the new lineup to Taiwan as part of its wider global push. The launch comes weeks after the company first hinted at an international release, with a clear message: these phones are built for power users who want performance without sacrificing durability.

The Taiwan release includes the Oppo Reno 15, Oppo Reno 15 Pro and the range-topping Oppo Reno 15 Pro Max. A smaller Oppo Reno 15 Pro Mini is also expected to join the lineup soon, offering a rare compact option in a market dominated by large screens.

All three models now on sale share one standout feature. They carry an IP69 rating, offering strong protection against dust and water. That level of resistance is usually reserved for premium flagships. The phones also run on ColorOS 16, based on Android 16.

Oppo Pakistan has not yet confirmed when the Reno 15 series will arrive locally. If past launches are any guide, it could take a few weeks. Once it does, the lineup is expected to compete directly with the Redmi Note 14 Pro series.

Reno 15 Pro Mini

Leaks around the Reno 15 Pro Mini have sparked interest, especially on pricing. Tipster Abhishek Yadav has suggested a box price of Rs64,999 in India for the 12GB and 256GB variant. Retail prices are usually lower, putting the expected selling price closer to Rs59,999.

For a smaller phone, the Pro Mini does not hold back. It features a 6.32-inch AMOLED display and a slim 7.99mm body, weighing 187 grams. Oppo has also added multiple layers of protection, including IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings. A platinum coating around the USB-C port is designed to reduce corrosion over time.

Power and cameras across the range

The Reno 15 Pro and Pro Max run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 8450 chip, while the standard Reno 15 uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor. Screen sizes vary, but all models offer AMOLED panels with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Cameras remain central to Oppo’s pitch. The Pro and Pro Max models feature a 200-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilisation. They also include a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The standard Reno 15 comes with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a periscope lens and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. All three phones share a 50-megapixel front camera.

Battery life has also seen a jump. The Reno 15 Pro packs a 6,200mAh battery, while the standard model goes even further with 6,500mAh. Both support 80W fast charging. The Pro Max sits at the top with an LTPO AMOLED display and up to 512GB of storage.

In Taiwan, prices start at TWD17,990, around Rs51,000, for the Reno 15. The Pro costs about Rs60,000, while the Pro Max reaches roughly Rs71,000. Buyers can choose from colours such as Aurora White, Sky Blue, Twilight Gold and Desert Brown.
