Rescue 1122 finalises Eid ul Azha emergency plan for DI Khan

Rescue 1122 has completed a thorough emergency response and contingency plan for the upcoming Eid ul Azha, placing all rescue teams and associated departments on high alert to guarantee immediate and effective emergency services.

As stated by the spokesman for Rescue 1122, a high-level meeting concerning special deployment and contingency measures was convened under the leadership of District Emergency Officer Muhammad Arif Khan, attended by station in-charges and heads of all operational divisions.

The meeting assessed the detailed preparations made in accordance with directives from Director General Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Fahad and Regional Director Operations South Arif Khattak, aimed at effectively addressing any emergency situations during the Eid holidays and further improving rescue services throughout the district.

During the occasion, Muhammad Arif Khan emphasised that protecting lives and property, along with ensuring a swift emergency response, remains the foremost priority of Rescue 1122.

He noted that all rescue teams would be on high alert throughout Eid ul Azha to quickly and efficiently manage any unexpected incidents.

Section 144 proposed to be enforced for Eid ul Azha

In a separate meeting held at the office of the Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan, the district emergency officer proposed a complete ban on bathing in the Indus River, CRBC Canal, and other hazardous water bodies during the Eid holidays.

He also urged the authorities to approve the use of life jackets during boating in the Indus River and requested the immediate enforcement of Section 144 to avert potential accidents.

Officials indicated that ambulances, fire vehicles, and motorbike ambulance services would be stationed at major Eid prayer gatherings across the district.

Furthermore, rescue divers and personnel would carry out continuous patrols around the Indus River, Bhakkar road, Neeli Jheel, and the CRBC Canal to prevent incidents related to water.
